Justin Timberlake’s song “Cry Me A River” was the inspiration and name for this particular piece of art. The song played over and over while painting this piece of art. The feelings and emotions show in every stroke, drip, and run. So much emotion went into this piece while putting the music and words to color on canvas.

She thought her world had just ended when she was placed in the hospital for four weeks in 2016. She had lost her eyesight due to migraines. After regaining 70% of her vision, she was determined to never take life for granted. And she was determined to enjoy the beauty of the world surrounding her. Hiking, kayaking, and traveling taking in all the colors and textures that nature freely gives us is where her more creative journey began. Studying great Master artists including Vincent Van Gogh, Jackson Pollock, William De Kooning, Helen Frankenthaler, and Grace Hartigan gave her inspiration to follow her dreams. As a member of Artists’ Link, Bartlett Art Association, and Memphis Germantown Art League, she participates in several local charity events. To this day, she continues to study and travel, enjoying all the beauty the world has to offer. Many of her pieces are located in Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Florida. She continues to be a part of the Memphis, Tennessee Cooper-Young Festival every year in September.
In conclusion her work, as an artist, enables the viewer to connect with the painting as if the worldly surroundings have grown silent. The only thing that matters at that given moment is the feeling, sensation, emotion, and spirituality that a person might experience while allowing their mind and eyes to follow around each painting.
Her paintings are all original pieces of art. You may view her website for more information on upcoming events and her portfolio: www.suzanneevansart.com
